TOPPP vs Salesforce Agentforce: build on a platform, or get a team shaped by your playbook

Both bring AI into sales conversations. Agentforce gives you Agent Builder and the parts to assemble. TOPPP turns the sales playbook you have already proven into an AI sales team.

One gives you parts. The other delivers a team.

The split between Salesforce Agentforce and TOPPP is not whose AI is better. It is what arrives. Agentforce is a platform: Agent Builder ships the primitives — subagents, actions, instructions — and your own team assembles and maintains them. TOPPP delivers an AI sales team built around the sales playbook you have already proven, so the roles, the stages, the guard conditions and the handoff line all come from how your best closer already sells. Agentforce details verified from Salesforce’s public pages, 2026-08.

  • What arrives

One hands you a builder and the parts. The other hands you a team already shaped by your playbook.

  • Where the method comes from

On a platform, whatever you write into it. Here, the playbook your best closer already runs.

  • Who keeps it working

Build it yourself and you own the maintenance. Build with TOPPP and it is scored before launch and replayable after.

Six dimensions, side by side

The middle column is what we verified from Salesforce’s public pages in 2026-08. The right column is how TOPPP does it.

In their own words

Salesforce Agentforce · verified 2026-08
An AI agent platform. The Sales Development use case reads “autonomously answering product questions, handling objections, and booking meetings”.
TOPPP
The sales playbook you have already proven, built into an AI sales team.

What lands on day one

Salesforce Agentforce · verified 2026-08
Agent Builder, with subagents, actions and instructions. The parts, and a place to assemble them.
TOPPP
Four stages run with you: codify the playbook, scale the execution, compound the learning, set the handoff.

Who does the building

Salesforce Agentforce · verified 2026-08
Your own team, or a partner you bring in. The platform ships the primitives.
TOPPP
Built with you on a shared platform. The engine is shared, the business logic is yours.

What shapes the behaviour

Salesforce Agentforce · verified 2026-08
The instructions you write into each agent.
TOPPP
Roles, stages, guard conditions and the line where a human takes over, drawn from your playbook.

Before it talks to a customer

TOPPP
The review workbench scores every case on hard assertions and a judge model. No pass, no launch.

Commercials

Salesforce Agentforce · verified 2026-08
Third-party roundups name three recurring reasons teams look elsewhere: per-conversation billing that is hard to forecast, Data Cloud dependency, and model lock-in.
TOPPP
We do not publish pricing. Scope and investment are sized against your complexity in the demo.

Blank cells and “not verified” mean we did not find it, not that it is not there. The commercials row is third-party summary, not Salesforce’s own wording.

“Platform” means two different things

Both companies use the word. One means a place to build. The other means a shared engine underneath work that stays yours.

A meeting room that has not been set up yet, table bare and chairs still stacked against the wall — a platform hands you the parts and a place to assemble them.

PATH / 01

A platform to build on

  • You get the primitives and somewhere to assemble them. You still own the method, the review criteria and whoever maintains it.
A consultation room already set up for the day, two chairs facing each other across a small table — an AI sales team that arrives shaped by the playbook you already run.

PATH / 02

A team built to your playbook

  • The four stages run the same way every time; the roles, the stages and the handoff line come out of the playbook you already run.

Custom is not built from scratch — The engine is shared, the business logic is yours: your method, your roles, your standards, your boundaries, configured on one system.

What holds it up after it goes live

A builder gets you an agent. These three things let you point it at a real customer.

  • Scored before it speaks

The review workbench runs every case twice over: hard assertions on what must and must not be said and on sensitive-topic limits, then a judge model on quality. No pass, no launch. review workbench · dual-track scoring

  • Every turn replayable

Each run leaves a trace: the reasoning, the tool calls, the latency, turn by turn. Fix the method once, ship it as a version you can roll back, and it lands across the team. trace replay · save then apply

  • A person steps in per customer

The takeover switch is per contact, not global. One customer moves to a human, the rest stay with AI, and the handoff is invisible to the customer. human takeover · per contact

When Agentforce is the right call

Three situations where we are not the answer. Reading them beats finding out in a demo.

Choose Salesforce Agentforce when

  • Your records, your process and your reporting already live in Salesforce, and staying inside one vendor is a requirement rather than a preference.
  • You have the engineering or partner capacity to assemble agents, write their instructions, test them and keep them running.
  • What you need reaches past sales into service, marketing and internal operations, and breadth matters more than depth in one.

Choose TOPPP when

  • You already have a sales playbook that works, and you want it running rather than re-derived by whoever writes the instructions.
  • Revenue turns on one-to-one customer conversations, in education, online courses, insurance, aesthetics, home renovation or local services.
  • You want it scored before launch, replayable after, and handed back to a person one customer at a time.

What buyers ask at this point

Is TOPPP an alternative to Salesforce Agentforce?

For one job, yes. Both can run a sales conversation with AI. TOPPP is not a CRM and does not replace your system of record. What TOPPP replaces is the work of assembling and maintaining the agents yourself: your proven playbook is built into an AI sales team, and TOPPP delivers it.

We already run Salesforce. Can TOPPP sit alongside it?

TOPPP runs the conversation; your CRM stays your system of record, and the two can be connected. Which data has to move between them, and when, depends on what you already run, so TOPPP scopes that with you in the demo rather than handing you an integration list up front.

Can TOPPP be deployed on our own infrastructure?

No. TOPPP is multi-tenant SaaS running on TOPPP's own platform, and there is no build that installs inside your data centre or private cloud. If a private deployment is a hard requirement, TOPPP is not your answer today, and reading that here beats finding out in the last minute of a demo.

Agent Builder exists. Why not build it ourselves?

You can, and some teams should. What a builder does not hand you is the playbook, the review criteria or the library of conversations that went wrong. TOPPP is customisation on a platform: the engine is shared, the business logic is yours. Custom is not built from scratch.

How do we know it will not say the wrong thing?

Three lines of defence. Before launch, TOPPP scores every case in the review workbench, and no pass means no launch. After launch, problem conversations feed an improvement loop, and every run is replayable turn by turn. At any moment a person can take over one customer, invisibly.

Bring your playbook — watch it become a team

Thirty minutes, using your own numbers, against the platform you are already evaluating.

  1. 01Map the playbook you run today and mark what AI should take
  2. 02See that method become an AI closing team, with the handoff line where you would draw it
  3. 03Run both ledgers, conversion and cost, on your own figures
